UYO IN SCHOOLS

UYO has started an educational program whose main goal is to bring new children in contact with the magical world of the orchestra. In collaboration with schools inside and outside Athens, it schedules concerts in which it integrates the students of the school who deal with music, after preparing them properly, giving them the opportunity to present a complete work of professional level.

COLLABORATION AND CONCERT AT ST. CATHERINE’S BRITISH SCHOOL – ATHENS

TRIBUTE TO MANOS HATZIDAKIS

The collaboration with the school St. Catherine’s started in September 2013. Over the course of two months, students from the school orchestra as well as a choir prepared by the school’s responsible teacher collaborated with the Underground Youth Orchestra in a concert dedicated to Manos Hadjidakis.

COLABORATION AND CONCERT AT ACS – ATHENS

The collaboration with the ACS school started in January 2015. Over a period of three months, students of the school who had knowledge of a musical instrument were trained, under the supervision of the teachers of the orchestra, and participated in the rehearsals of the orchestra. In April 2015, a very successful concert was given at the school theater with the participation of the school students.

COLLABORATION WITH HOMO EDUCANDUS  CORINTH

The collaboration with the school Homo educandus – Education located in Corinth began in October 2015. Over a period of three months, students of the school who had knowledge of a musical instrument were trained, under the supervision of the teachers of the orchestra, and participated in the rehearsals of the orchestra. In January 2016, a very successful concert was given at the Alexandreio Conference Center in Loutraki with the participation of the students of the school.

COLLABORATION WITH CONSERVATORY OF COLORS – CHILDREN AND YOUTH CHOIR OF HERAKLION MUNICIPALITY

The collaboration with the Conservatory of Colors and the Children and Youth Choir of the Municipality of Heraklion began in October 2014. Over a period of three months, students of the Youth Orchestra of the Conservatory of Colors prepared, under the supervision of the teachers of the orchestra and the conservatory teacher, a program with music and songs of the European South. Respectively, the choir of the Municipality of Heraklion was prepared under the direction of Giannis Idomeneos. In January 2015, a concert with Elli Paspala was given with great success at the ASTORIA Cinema. .
