MUSIC CAMP

From August 21st to 26th, Ekfrassis Productions organizes the “4th Summer Music Camp” at PORTO RIO HOTEL in Rio, Patras, under the artistic direction of Costas Eliades.

In this workshop, the participants will have the opportunity to study works of chamber music and orchestral works regarding the following instruments:

Violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, flute,

clarinet, saxophone and harp

They will have the opportunity to attend as well courses in:

Jazz improvisation, monody, orchestral conducting and composing.

The workshop’s main aim is to bring young musicians in touch with an orchestra and to give them the opportunity to participate in it, either as its members or as soloists.

The participation of The Underground Youth Orchestra in the workshop gives the opportunity to students who didn’t have so far the chance to participate in an orchestra to gain similar experience. Moreover, students of orchestra conducting are given the opportunity to conduct an organized ensemble with orchestral experience, under the supervision of the specialized professor.

Next to the courses and the music ensembles, there will be organized a program of concerts and recitals featuring the participants of the music camp.

After the completion of the music camp, all participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
